The 2023 WA China Architecture Award has recently announced the list of winners, and the Xianghu Future School designed by China United Engineering Co., Ltd. has won the Technical Progress Excellence Award (the highest award).

The WA China Architecture Award (WAACA) was established by the World Architecture Magazine in 2002 to clarify diverse values and encourage more targeted independent innovation in architectural creation. As a Chinese independent architecture award with significant international influence, the WA China Architecture Award has always been committed to discovering, promoting, and celebrating completed works that closely integrate with China's national conditions and provide inspiring references to global architectural culture, promoting creative responses of China's built space to people's aspirations for a better life, and deepening the world's understanding and respect for Chinese architecture.

The WA China Architecture Award is divided into six categories: WA Architecture Achievement Award, WA Design Experiment Award, WA Social Equity Award, WA Technological Progress Award, WA Urban Contribution Award, WA Residential Contribution Award, etc. There is usually only one winning award in each category, which is the highest award. The WA Technology Progress Award aims to reward outstanding projects that focus on solving real-world problems through creative technological means, and the winning works must embody the core value of "innovative exploration of design".
