Recently a national science&technology project--Ultra sensitive and extremely weak magnetic field and inertial measurement device got an official permit of engineering planning.The project was included in the "14th Five Year Plan" for major scientific and technological infrastructure in October 2021. The site is located in Binjiang District, Hangzhou, with a land area of about 66.67 acres and a planned total construction area of about 50000 square meters, including about 35400 square meters above ground and about 14600 square meters underground.

The project will build the "zero magnetic" space with the highest performance and largest space, as well as scientific devices and instruments with leading indicators, providing extreme weak magnetic environments and extreme measurement methods, effectively supporting research in cutting-edge science and technology, national major needs, life sciences, and medicine, serving the "four orientations" of the national development strategy, and supporting the construction of a strong country in science and technology, quality, and manufacturing. After the completion of this national treasure, it will enable our country to maintain a leading advantage in ultra-high sensitivity and extremely weak magnetic field and inertial measurement technology.
